Japanese wrasse help
Anyone know much about this wrasse? Trying ro get the actual name of it so j may begin pursuing adding to tank possibly.

(True) Pintail Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lanceolatus), true Japanese variants are very expensive and almost never make it to the USA. I would consider this species to be a "holy grail" fish for many wrasse-heads out there.
Rose-Band Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus roseafascia) is quite similar and much more obtainable. For a while people thought they were the same, so some vendors may try to pass off a Rose-Band as a Japanese Pintail to get the extra money.

If you are looking for a Terminal Male expect to pay at least $500, more likely $1000.

Cirrhilabrus lanceolatus is exceedingly rare in the trade, with specimens commanding exorbitant prices in the low thousands. ( chepaest i have seen offered was $2800)
if you find one for $500 jump on it in an instant. Look into Cirrhilabrus roseafascia as a similar alternative
