Need help to ID algea.
Is this dino, cyano or diatoms?
IMG_20180630_171100.jpg IMG_20180630_171105.jpg IMG_20180630_171152.jpg ph=8.1 amonia= 0 nitrite=0 nitrate=less than 5ppm phosfate = not even showing in my salifert phos test kH=7 ca=370 Mg=1440 I had the aquarium w/o fish for 2 months because of ich. before the quarantine i had tons of hair algea, but now it's all gone. Now there is only this brownish slime covering certain spots and some of the rocks. My sand sifting starfish does remove most of it at the bottom but it comes back fast. I have read that in case of dinos you have to up nitrate and phosfate levels, but if it's cyano its going to make the problem worse. (The bubbles in some of the images are not from the algea, they are from the skimmer and the get caught in it. ) |
