turf algae/sea slug
Our 180 has been getting some pretty bad turf algae that I just can't get rid of. I try and pull it off but it has a pretty good foothold in the rocks. I've been doing a bit of research on trying to get rid of and a sea hare seems to be the way to go. I have zero experience with them so I'm looking for some tips. I'm on the fence with a sea hare and a lettuce nudi

I've never had long term success with either. I'd suggest a Mexican turbo snail and look into any contributing factors into the algae outbreak.

when we lost power in the very end of the winter, to keep the tank temp up I used hot tap water. I think thats where the algae started. I also started feeding pretty heavily within the last few months. so I think its a combination of them both. I have started skimming wetter instead of dry but between the turf algae and some cyano the tank isn't looking to well
