28G JBJ nancube HQI to LED options
I have had a 28G nanocube setup for many years now (I think 8) and it has moved with me 3 times successfully.
I love the tank. I have many many times before thought about changing to LED lighting but haven't for a variety of reasons but mainly because what I have is working and it's a bug expense to upgrade. The last time I seriously looked at it (probably 2013 or 2014) several reputable folks had retofit LED kits (Rapid LED, nano-tuners, rtc) but they were in the $400ish range. From what I can tell they are all either defunct or don't carry that anymore. There are several vendors with something around $219 but most look shady. So I guess my question is has anyone done a conversion lately and if so what did you do. I am totally open to DIY (buying LEDs, heatsink, driver all seperate, etc) if that is my best bet but figure I would poll the masses before going down that route.

I used a Nanobox 2 LED array retrofit kit on my Biocube 29 with much success. Came with a Bluefish Mini for 6 channel WiFi control. Installation is quite straightforward as well. It wasn’t cheap though. It cost around $365.
