Protein SKimmer off and on during h20 changes
Is there a negative impact/efficiency in terms of turning off your protein skimmer once a week for 10 minutes during my h20 changes?
Any performance setbacks when doing this? |

Absolutely not...
A skimmer is an optional piece of equipment...

Yes being off for days/weeks and being cleaned will cause it to need to build up the film/slime coat or whatever... And any change will effect it some...but its just a skimmer that isnt overly efficient in the first place and is optional equipment so its not worth worrying about or attempting the quantify such insignificant data
