Large Hermit Shell Needed

I have a large hermit. His shell opening is about 1.5” and he’s slightly bigger than a golf ball. I’m trying to find a shell upgrade for him. I ordered a set on amazon but they came with some kind of shine on them and I’m not sure that is reef safe. Anyone know a good source for shells for hermits I can get him a larger one?

Try pet store. Just make sure they are not really heavy.

Do you have fish? You are taking a risk with almost any crab. You are taking a huge risk with that hermit.

Maybe buy a large turbo snail and the crab can take the snail shell

Hobby Lobby sells baskets of plain shells. I used to buy them for my hermits years ago and never had any problems with them.
