Pump CHoice

I am still piecing my 180. Looking for a pump. I am wanting a Vectra pump. What would be a good for my my Duel overflow drilled for 3/4 return. Vectra L2 or Vectra M2?

The returns are larger than the 3/4 that I have drilled on my tank. Will running a reducer do any harm to the pump?

FYI--
The original units noted in the manual --"they can run hot".
Raised 250 gallons to 84 degrees.

The output for the L2 is 1.25,so wouldn’t I have to reduce it to fit on my 3/4 bulkhead?
