Sump to protein skimmer

So thinking about using a sump for filtration and after looking at set up I see they have protein skimmer in first section. I have a older remora c protien skimmer and was wondering if it is possible to plumb my return from sump to my protein skimmer and use it to return to tank

Possible... Yes..
Optimal.. Not likely

Just use it HOB (hang on back) in the sump instead of hanging on the display tank..
You could hang it on one of the sump baffles or wherever the water level is suitable for it..

Thanks for input I know most people do but the more I think about it it is better to just make it disappear being that’s one of the reason for sump

I have an old remora c also I hang on my sump. it does the job!

Tommyphones what size sump do you have can use how you have yours set up I trying to figure out how I will set up
