Beginner to saltwater can anyone identify this please.

I have added 2 clowns to my tank that has been fully cycled and all paramaters checked out great but I can't help but notice little white specs on them. I'm making up a quarantine tank tonight incase treatment is required[IMG][/IMG]

Seems to be not as bad on one but the other one seems to have spread quite a bit I don't know what to do

No image shown. Little white specks that may come and go are probably Ich but without a good photo it's impossible to say for sure. I'm guessing you didn't quarantine them prior to adding them to your tank?

The only truly reliable way to get rid of Ich (assuming that's what it is) is tto remove the fish to a QT tank, treat them there, and keep your display tank fallow (100% fishless) for a minimum of 72 days.

There is a great sticky about treating infected fish. My preference is for the Tank Transfer Method (TTM). It requires no medications - just several containers (5g buckets work well) with heaters and powerheads that can be sterilized between uses.

Current Tank Info: 120 mixed reef with 40b sump, RO 150 skimmer, AI Sol Blue x 2, and a 60g Frag Tank with 100g rubbermaid sump. 2 x Kessil A360w lights, BM curve 5 skimmer

I'm setting up a quarantine tank tonight after work so I'll pop them in there and fallow my display tank for 72 weeks I have so biological filtration left over and some atm colony to jump start the cycle

Sorry. Still no pictures. And 72 days, not weeks :-)

Don't bother with biological filtration in your QT especially if you choose TTM. Regular water changes and a bottle of PRIME will see you through this.
