Tunze Care Magnets
I've found them to be lacking when it comes to stubborn algae.
I decided to sharpen the blade with a steel used to sharpen knives. It was not hard just a little time consuming. Holding the blade in my hand I ran the edge, front & back across the steel on a steep angle. Eventually it became sharper than originally but not as near as a razor blade. Worked great on hard algae & even Coraline algae. Now the corners & bottom of the glass are a breeze to clean.

Thank you, Vinny! I have a good stone for my kitchen knives and was wondering if I dared. Also a way, perhaps, to rejuvenate a tired blade.

Your Welcome my dear.
Not like it's hundred dollar item & both sides have an edge.

Be careful doing this! I sharpened the metal blade on a Care Magnet and somehow managed to create a burr on the blade. It scratched the absolute living snot out of my tank.
