Not really, but considering the past photoshop accusation I made certain to not try to "pretty" the pictures up any.

A lot of the color is not well captured and the flash reflections are hideous. (Not to mention the lack of a tripod)

It's a UV sterilizer.

I'm guessing that's the UV sterilizer?

(doh, Greg beat me to it)

What manufacturer/model is that thing anyhow?

Why are your halides only on for 2 hours a day?

Beautiful tank, by the way!

Bomber, you have much to be proud of. Beutifull!

Where did you get that black mesh(plastic grate) covering the front of your overflow?
I can't seem to find anything like that.

Don

FWIW, you may consider running the 10,000 K XM bulbs when you switch out your lamps. According to JB NY's numbers the XM's perform better than the Ushio's on the IceCap ballast:

http://www.cnidarianreef.com/lamps.cfm

and they are $25 cheaper per bulb. Just thought you might like to know.

Nice tank btw. Any reason you left about 1" to 2" all the way around your Starboard?

Shane

Thanks guys for the setup pictures.

It's always nice to look `under the hood' ... and when it gets down to it ... I love the simplicity of this tank. Not exactly child's play ... but really pretty straight forward.

--
Bomber - what do you do for Calcium/Alk replentishing on this system?
What's you opinion on that blue chromis? Is it aggressive towards other fishies? I have one, in QT, trying to decide which of my tanks to put it in ... a lovely fish [glad it seems to get along with the gramma ...]

Wow, the water is amazing clear. That has got to be the cleanest looking tank I've ever seen. I think the protein skimmer in the photograph agrees!

it looks totally unnatural without sand in it.

it's nicer than my tank, but i just don't like that look at all.

no offense of course. i just wonder why you don't put a thin layer of sand down there for aesthetics?

No Adam, as Jerel would say: "its a weed!" ROTFL

Jeesh Jerel, those snails in there look like they have nothing to do. What type of blenny is that?

Thanks for the pics Greg.
