Finally caught one :)
Hi,
I suspected I had mantis shrimp in both my 37G and 125G due to the fact I purchased a large quantity of aquacultured rock from Florida and the clicking noises at night and recently the demise of several of my larger porcelian crabs. I set a bottle trap last night with a nice piece of shrimp. Right away I caught a few Nass. snails, but this morning I work up to find in my little trap This beauty is about 2 inches long and currently being housed in a small Eclipse six nano I have. Also caught in the trap at the same time were 2 large emerald crabs, one which lost a leg to the mantis at some point during the night and another nass. snail. -Mike |

Well if you have 2 in your new rock, I will take one if it is not already claimed.

This does not appear to be the usual N. wennerae. If you can get some clearer pictures, particularly of the telson, I can probably identify it.
