I don't see the light?
I was wondering what kind of lighting requirements there are for a peacock mantis?
I originally wanted to add corals to the tank and bring the lighting up to 55W over the 20G tank to have small polyps. However, as I have the mantis already, I don't want to shock the specimen by putting it under more light than it may be used to. |

I have mine in a 40g under 192W of PC light. The ones from Hawaii that I find are on the reef flats in very shallow water. I don't think intense light would bother them. Just a tidbit from me.

O. sycllarus typically are found at 5 to 30 m. They are not intertidal and don't do particularly well with a lot of light although if you provide a dark refuge, they will be O.K.
