clams and t5's

i'm getting a new tek light for xmas. it will be a 36inch 4 39watt light. my tank is a 45gallon and is 24 inch deep with about a 3 inch sand bed. what kind of clams can i keep?

you migh tbe able to keep maximas, but then again is a risk with a tank that deep, you can definitely keep hippopus though.

If you go with max's you should put them high up in the rock work.....its possible that you could keep deresas and squamosas further down on the substrate, but sice I have never had any of those two I dont have the experience to back up that clame....

Current Tank Info: Twin 180's 150 gallon common sump. 6 250 DE Phoenix, HQI ballasts. MRC4 Recirc skimmer. Pacific coast 1/2 horse chiller. Custom calcium reactor. sps reef in tank a mixed reef in tank b in the making.

You will need stronger lighting as the squmies and derasas grow.
