XM bulbs not compatible with Icecap MH/HQI ballast?!?!
Here is a link on Marinedepot's site:

Check the Icecap forum for more info. The problem is with the Double-Ended bulbs.

Hi,
Thank you for your inquiry. There were some compatibility issues in the past with the XM double ended bulbs and the IceCap ballasts. For this reason we do not recommend XM bulbs on IceCap ballasts. Although they may run with out any problems, there is always a chance they will not fire properly. If there is anything else we can do for you do not hesitate to ask. Keith M.
