ACK! snail got whacked by my clam - small tear in mantle!!!!

I saw it happen and couldn't stop it!!!
My new derasa slammed shut on a snail that actually kind of tumbled into him! He's extending his mantle for the most part but i now notice a small hole in front of his exhalent siphon. He is reactive but is he now doomed?? Can he repair this damage??

HELP!

Scott

Leave things be. If water parameters are up to par, and the clam otherwise healthy, it should heal up on it's own. Be sure to provide some sort of phytoplankton (such as DT's).

Good luck.
