7240.26 Driver with 7095 Controller?
I received two 6100 Streams today along with the 7095 controller. One of the 6100's has the new 7240.27 driver and the other the older 7240.26. Everything is brand new and from an official Tunze partner.
Will the 7240.26 work with the 7095? (It is not listed on its label.) Should I return the older 6100 for a new one due to improvements in the 7240.27 driver? Or can I just swap drivers? Thanks for any help. Mitch |

That is strange, we haven't had that driver since early last summer. It could be a wrong sticker? I know usually no one can keep these on hand longe enough for them to be even a couple weeks out of production. The driver is completely compatible, the only thing you lose is the fishcare feature and the 7240.27 can handle a higher load so it was critical to making the 6200 and the wavebox. What are the 3 numbers stamped in the plastic on the top of the pump- behind the label?

Yeah, that one would have had a 7240.26, that would have been made in April of last year. It is up to you, if fishcare is important to you, you might want to see about returning it for a new one.

Just give me a quick elaboration of the "fishcare" feature and I can make a decision.
The things I have read in RC about the 7240.27 driver actually getting more output from the 6100 pumps are untrue? Thanks. Mitch |

I don't think their is any greater output, if someone has an older 7240.26 it could be, this driver was made from fall of 2000-to spring of 2004, the early ones were hand made and as such had a lot of deviation but the last ones like you have were surface mount machine made boards, just like the 7240.27. Fishcare just turns the pump 1 rpm every 20seconds to scare the fish away if the pump is off during a program or during a foodtimer use.

Thanks for the quick help Roger. I will point my dealer to this thread and we will work it out from here.
