Remora Pro Skimmer Box
Does the skimmer box that Aqua C sells for Mag 3 pumps also fit the mag 5?

I'm not sure if the Mag 3 and 5 are the same size but you might want to ask Remora directly. I've found them very easy to do business with and fast to respond.
Their web site is www.proteinskimmer.com I have the Remora Pro with a Mag 5 with no skimmer box and like the results. Ted

Well.. Yes.
The box will fit the Mag 3/5/7. Externally, these 3 pumps are identical. But (And there's always a but), I found that when I ran my Remora Pro with a Mag 7 and collection box, the inlet size of the surface skimmer were a little small to properly feed the pump. Thus, it made a lot of embarrasing sucking sounds..  I could have fixed it with a Dremel, and some gutter guard or something, but never quite did.. So, long and short of it, it'll fit, but you might not like the sounds it makes.. -Andy/Oldimpala |
