Sump Baffle/weir glass thickness

I am building a sump/fuge out of a 20g tank. What thickness glass should I get cut for the baffle/weir/bubble trap and for the partition for the fuge?

For the baffles in the sump, 1/4" is plenty. As far as silicone, I've used GE II Window and Door. Only $4 at Home Depot.
