Post Feed back from Aquatraders/ regards to ODYSSEA Lights

In an earlier thread I stated I would be writing Aquatraders in regards to a recent purchase ODYSSEA 48" 542W Metal Halide Fixture & Ballast System.
My letter Dated: Thu, 26 Jan 2006
I am a member at Reef Central. This is an online forum with many members and readers. It has been brought to my attention that there has been several fires from the ballast getting to hot or the capacitors popping than causing a fire. With Claims of not being UL rated. I do have concerns naturally. I am asking if there were problems in the past. If so did the manufacturer address them? Or do you believe there were other factors in this happening? Perhaps steps to take to avoid any problems. Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this. No pun intended. I would also like to post your response

For the new version metal halide system, some of the components in the ballast have been improved. We have no record of issue reported previously. You may also test out the new unit you received to find out the quality of the metal halide system.
Regards,
Aquatraders

I have sent a new letter asking about another statement I have heard in this forum.
Which are claims that the175watt DE is merely 150 watt DE which is being over powered and possibly being the cause to the over heating. Along with if it is a 175 watt DE will there be other places to purchase it. If there is an interest I will post it as well.
