ph controller ?

What is the best wat to controll ph with a calcium reactor. Do you need 2 ph monitors. If you used the aquacontroller Jr would you need another ph monitor to control the reactor ph as wall as one for thwe tank. I am confused as I have never set up a calcium reactor before. Jim
