Running carbon on bb tank with canister filter good idea?

I have an eheim 2028 canister filter that I am currently using as the main filtration for my 75g that I am upgrading up to a 125g bb. I was wondering if it would be worth it to run carbon or anything else on the tank through the filter. I would put the filter on the sump, this would also be a way to eliminate some of the micro bubbles in the sump.
Thanks
E

Carbon wont hurt, it wil help with water quality. I know plenty of people who run carbon 24/7.

It also absorbs inpurities but I would not run it 24/7, its basically good for 3-4 days then its time to toss it after that. On your new BB tank you might look at just using it in a fludize reactor like the TLF Phosban reactor and running filter socks on your overflow into your sump instead of a canister filter. Just my 2 cents, I upgraded to my 120 BB last weekend and found those 2 things to help a ton... And flow flow flow flow flow flow flow.
