Need to buy RO/DI
I know this question gets posted all of the time, but I cannot search and have never read any of the prvious posts due to the fact I did not need an RO/DI any time before this. My LFS RO/DI bit the dust and I decided I am sick and tired of lugging water around all of the time.
Where should I get a RO/DI unit from? I want something cheap and something I can use for the RO drinking water as well. What about this one? here

www.airwaterice.com , www.buckeyefieldsupply.com or www.purelyh2o.com are three very good vendors of high quality products at a good price. Be very careful when shopping for an RO/DI system, cheaper is almost always not better. You are sacrificing some important things with the lower priced units in almost all cases. Others to consider are www.spectrapure.com and the unit that Melev here on RC builds(I'm sorry but I don't have his web link handy).

I did ALOT of research, and I received many replies recommending the Typhoon III unit. It comes with many extra features, and uses the best Dow products. It came pre-assembled, and was basically "plug and play". It cost a little more than the Ebay units I looked at, but I am very happy with this unit. http://airwaterice.com/product/1TYPHOONIII

Yes 75 GPD is generally much more efficient, 98% vs 90% if you are looking at Dow Filmtec membranes which you should be. Other brands including GE Water Osmonics and Applied Membranes take 60 or 65 psi to produce the same amount of water as a Dow Filmtec at only 50 psi and usually with lesser quality. Most US households average around 50 psi and not 60 or 65 so Dow is a better investment.
The companies I suggested earlier all use 75 GPD Dow Filmtec membranes. |

I second the recommendation for the Typhoon III, an outstanding unit.

Hey guys, AZDesertRat recommended the typhoon III to me as well I researched it, and I placed my order last night, it seems like an awesome deal, and they give you quite a bit too, not only is it the top Ro unit out there being recommended, but it also seems to be more bang for your buck, thanks AZDesertRat
