want to set up clam tank need info
can I do a 45 long what outher than a good skimmer and mh do i need I cant keep them in my 180 reef the wrasses stir up the sand to much and chokes them just gave away my last max and scomasha dtata2@attbi.com do i have to have sump like a reef if it is only clams or is a good skimmer and flow in the tank and live rock and sand all i need any help would be app.

Dominic,
There are so many ways to set up a clam tank. I personally have six. Each different of one another. But IMO yes using your tank with good lighting and skimmer is really not needed you can have a good tank for clams. You do not need a sump. There are several other factors needed to put this off. Like: water flow, feeding of the clams, fish, liverock, height of tank (do you want to look down on the clams which is the best way). And many more. But clams are really GREAT! Jim |
