Yellow and a hippo in my 55?

I currently have the following fish:
(1)firefish
(1)6 line
(2)false percs
(3)blue/green chromis
Various inverts
I also had a medium sized Yellow Tang, which recently died. All chem was in line, but my heater flipped out and ran the tank up to 88 degrees. I can't think of anything else that would have killed him. I always wanted a Hippo. Can I have both a Yellow and a Hippo in a 55? The yellow I had was a sweetheart, never bothered tankmates. I can add them at the same time if neccessary. Thanks in advance, mike.

i'd stick with just a yellow tang. the hippo tang grows too large for a 55g

Are you planning on an upgrade to your tank in the near future? If so fine, if not you may want to rethink that decision. Hippos get pretty large. JMHO

Looks like you're already pretty well stocked.

If you must add one, stick with the yellow. Evev then, you might get a visit from the tang police!

a 55 is bot large enough for both or even the hippo alone

I agree, a full grown yellow will look pretty huge in a 55.

I don't think it would be wise to add both.
