crocea moving

well, i bought my super blue crocea clam yesterday and put him on a rock about half way up in the tank, in kind of a little crevice....well, during the night and morning, he turned himself and positioned himself where i guess he feels "comfortable." where he is sitting though is partly under the ledge of another rock. About 75-80 percent of him is in the light, but the rest is in the shadows...so, is he going to need to be moved, or will he be okay? If i have to move him, i want to do it before he attaches himself to the rock. Thanks guys....

I would let him be, and if he wants more light he will move aroung again.

Yeah my buddies did that when he first put him into the tank. Its nothing to worry about itsjust the clam finding a spot he likes.

Mine always repositions it's self. Drives me crazy cause it always angles its self toward the light but makes it tough to enjoy the iridescent colors unless your almost on top of the tank. Oh well...at least its happy.

well, he seems to have moved a little more...now he is about 60 percent in light, and 40 not....im not gonna worry about it unless he starts losing his color and starts to look unhealthy...thanks for all of your responses.... this is my first time with a clam, and i wanna do things right.....and i know this is off subject, but i just wanted to brag a little bit....yesterday i was able to get an orange montipora capricornus frag for 5 bucks....stoked...
