Ideas for Colorful Beginner Corals/Anemones ect...?

Hello,

I'm looking for ideas for colorful anemones or corals that are easy to to medium difficulty to keep for my 46 gallon bowfront. Almost everything in my tank is so bland and boring looking. Right now I have a couple of Condys and a leather coral with some mushrooms and polyps.

Here's my tank equipment info:

46 gallon bowfront. Rena XP3 Canister Filter, Coralife Super Skimmer for up to 65 gallons. Two Maxi-Jet 1200's with Hydor Flo water deflectors. About 50-70 lbs. of live rock. Current USA 36" Power Compacts w/ 1 - Dual Daylight Lamp (10,000K and 6,700K) and 1 - Dual Actinic Lamp (420nm and 460nm).

Current inhabitants are the following:

Scarlet Hermit Crabs, turbo snails, nassarius snails
Royal Gramma Basslet
Blue Devil damselfish
Four Stripe Damselfish
Red spotted Hawkfish
Bicolor Blenny
Serpent Starfish
Percula Clownfish

Any tips for colorful anemones or corals are much appreciated!

You should invest in a hammer coral. They are nice looking and in my experience they are pretty hardy. However, I would consider not to put too many corals becasue you do have a lot of fish for that size tank.

Mushrooms, zoos, green star polyps, or some leathers can be very nice and a hardy addition to you tank.

I've always had luck with hammers and frogspawn.

If you go to extremecorals.com, they sell some very colorful ricordia mushrooms. Beware though that they sell very quickly and they are very pricy for a small quantity. I bought 4 ricordia mushrooms that have neon orange centers and green perimeters for $119.99. Well worth it though. I never ever get tired of their colors. What can I say, you pay for color. You can pay $65 for 8 brown/purple rics or you can pay $199.99 for 7 rics that are literally a rainbow of colors (not uncommon at extremecorals.com).

I forgot to mention on my previous post that although you might get 7 mushrooms, they might actually be small mushrooms such as 1" or less in diameter.
