Thumbs up Wave2k

Okay. I tried to get feedback several weeks ago TWICE and got very little. So, now I have mine. It has been installed and running for about three weeks. It makes a bit more noise than I would like, but that is my ONLY complaint. The water movement is awesome! NOTHING else moves water like this. It keeps detritus suspended until filtration can get it. I had cyano everywhere, and guess what... I have done nothing else except increase the water movement with this thing and the cyano was completely gone in about four or five days!! IMO, this motion is the closest thing to natural environment motion I have ever seen! If someone will give me a pointer or two on how to make some video available, I'd be glad to show it off!

This description will make it sound worse than it actually is, but I would say a high whine... though not annoying, just wish it was silent...

Sorry, I went to lunch... It's more like a small motor whine, but it's not the motor making the noise, but the unit. I am going to try a few things to quiet it down, but again, it's not bad. No one ever comments on "noise" or anything.

I really would welcome any help regarding getting some video available... By the way, I did have to mount the unit on the from of my tank at first... not enough room behind for the motor, then I got the "flush mount" bracket and mounted it on the back. When I did this the motor was inverted and the shaft is spinning the opposite direction now. It had some noises in the beginning that worked themselves out. It was quiet on the front with the regular bracket. I'm hoping it will work itself back to the level it had before... HELP, I wanna show it!!

I was looking at getting one of these but when I saw the video on their website it looked like it produced a lot of microbubbles. How does your unit do producing bubbles?

Do you have a digital camera to shoot the video with? If you do, I'll put it up on my domain and post a link for you. Just PM me and I'll give you my email address to send the video to.

Thanks for the info.

I got the extra set of spacers to set the unit about 1/2 inch lower under the water surface. Mine does not produce any microbubbles. I noticed the bubbles on their video, too...

no luck on the video yet, setup a garbage site at www.geocities.com and just throw the file up there so we can grab it.
