add distilled vinegar to lower ph..need advice
my ph is steady but a little high at 8.4-8.5 i want to add distilled vinegar to bring it down. Do i drip it to my sump or just dump it straight in the sump. Help!!!

drip it in...or better yet. Inject co2 via a calcium reactor or plain old air stone.

8.4 to 8.5 isn't bad, leave it alone and let it fall on its own. do you add Kalk ? what do you use for Alk?

You can add seltzer water to safely lower it. If you do not correctly add vinegar, you can mess up your balance and cause your Calcium to percipitate out.
