Do fish need a day/night light cycle?
Do fish need or do better with a day/night light cycle? I do this on my reef, but on my FOWLR I just stick with acintic only b/c I like the way it looks. And if so, what would be the proper amount of time for the day/night lights?

i think they do better with a day/night cycle. Just like any animal they need to have some REST/SLEEP.

I agree with 3rotor, fish need to "sleep". Lighting on all the time stressed them out and I would imagine would eventually die because of it.

I guess let me rephrase. I do turn the lights off at night, but I do not turn on the white (10,000k) lights on like I do the reef. Do they need a period of time each day with the "white" lights?
