Phosphate levels

Randy,

I am playing with my new Hanna PO4 meter. It says the phosphate levels in my tank is 0.02 mg/l.

Should I believe it? What are the recommended phosphate levels?

TIA

I don't know the accuracy of the Hanna meter, but I have no reason to doubt it, and IMO, that is a fine level. I suggest that folks target phosphate to be below about 0.03ppm, unless they have an algae problem. If so, target lower levels.
