Plumbing Drains

How do you all plumb the drains from your tanks?

Do you use unions on the drains so that you can screw the male adaptor into the bulkhead then attach your plumbing, or do you glue it in place?

If you have 1" bulkheads, so you use 1" plumbing or upsize it?

Is rigid pvc a no-no or is it ok for short runs?

Please post pics if you have them.

Jamie

All my drains are slip rigid. I combine 2 1" to 1 1/2" with a Y. I do however have ball valves on both 1" lines and then one 1 1/2 down at the sump.
