tunze
i see a lot of people using the tunze tubelle stream for thier tank ciculation are they really that good ?ive never seen them in any lfs they look nice.im never happy with the power of the ones i buy locally.im sure they are expensive but u get what u pay for

Its the fact that they can be put on wavemakers combined with their wide flow (compared to small flow coming from a little hole)
Other pumps dont combine those 2 factors Wide flow Seio cant be put on wavemakers I think Can be put on wavemaker Maxi-jet dont have a wide flow.. that was an exemple |

Definitely the wide flow dispersal is the big calling card. Followed very closely by versatility (controllable), and then there's always the reliability angle too. Some will certainly disagree, but you'll see lots of "Seio problems" threads.
In smaller tanks Maxijets can be modified to spread out the waterflow to a greater extent. The easiest is to just cut back the output snoot.
