My tank mounted sliding light setup

I thought I would post my sliding light setup in the DIY section.

Basically I wanted a way to move my light out of the way on the top of my tank. I have a custom made setup with 4 96W PC bulbs - the fixture is 12" wide by 48" long. When centered on the tank it left just about 2 inches front and back to access the tank area from the top. Si when I feed or need to move rock or whatever, I would have to move my light and chance dropping or doing something stupid with it . So I needed a way to slide it back out of the way, but it had to mount to the tank as well, the ceiling the tank is under is about 6" from the tank top and angled so mounting it from that was out of the question.

I added two supports to the side of the top wood frame and then placed two normal drawer slides on each end - I then used some hardwood mounted to the side of the light to support the other piece of the slide mechanism. The result what follows:

Works well and can be taken off easily by sliding all the way back and then lifing it off the tracks.

It is nicely done, providing that the frame can support weight of the light fixture from tipping over when it is sliding all the way back.
