My lawnmower does the same thing! That's where I got my RC name- it stomps back and forth like a sumo wrestler when I come too close, but really likes to hide and then dartout and chomp my hand.
You're right though. Very cute!

My female ocellaris bites me in between my fingers as well and definitely draws blood whenever she can. I refuse to stick my hands in the tank because of her. I use aqua tongs instead! When I need to do fine work I take her out and put her in a bucket. That's her time-out spot. The male ocellaris is fine though and he never has to go into time-out.

My ex gf called my former lawnmower a doggyfish. Sometimes it'll let me pet it, sometimes it'll play with me, and yes, on one or 2 occassions, it has bitten me...or tried cleaning the algae on my hand or something. Either way, yes, very amusing. The only fish of mine that hurt was a Sargent Damsel, mean fish, it would push off the corals I place in the tank, hover over that spot and look at me with the expression of "now wut b!tch". I'm glad he passed imitating Nemo thru a filter.

Man I have an awesome lawnmower and my percs never bite me. My cleaner does the hang on for dear life though. I have no idea why, I think he thinks my hand is a ride at the local amusement park. Anyway, sorry to hear so many people have fish with anger issues, but then again that is what makes our tanks different from each other......

My lawnmower and my bi color would bite sometimes especially if I moved my hand too close to one of their "home rock" and all my clowns have always either bit or head butted my hand if I move it towards their anemone

My lawnmower and my Clarki both bit mostly the Clarki, the best thing to watch is my Hawk that will see a fly outside the tank and run around trying to get it.

Mom's Long Horned Cowfish will bite your hands when you start moving rocks around. It will definately suprise you. Scared the crap out of me the first time he did it to me. It didn't really hurt but I was not expecting it and I didn't even notice him eyeing me. It is more of a 'suction' with 60 grit sandpaper bite than a 'chomping' bite.

My yellow Tang lately has gotten into the habit of trying to 'lay down' on my arm or in my hands when they are in the tank. It is kinda weird but he seems to like it, but sometimes I have to push him away to do/see something and he thinks I am playing with him, he just comes right back and tries to push me, he has even nibbled on my knuckles a few times.
