Favorite SE MH bulb **poll**

What is your favorite SE MH bulb, and why is it your favorite? If you want to specify your ballast that would also be nice. :-)

If I forgot any sorry, there are just so many. Please make a post and let us know what is not on there. Or if there is another reason (ie you voted other because of cost) please let us know why.

p.s. sorry for the earlier post without the poll option

I'm gonna bump this. However, I can't vote because I have'nt used MH yet, but I plan on it. I thought it would've recieved a better response too. Maybe it should be posted in the equipment forum.

XM 10K

Color has a bit too much yellow for me, but the growth is phenominal.

I may try 14k whan I replace them.

So what this says to me is that if you want a good bulb for growth you want the:
XM 10k
And if you want a bulb based on looks you want the:
Hamilton 14k

Anyone else want to comment/vote on this? Anyong able to post some comments on the AquaConnect bulbs?

Now what if you're looking for a combo bulb (one bulb for growth and looks)? Do we need an other poll?

Well that is why I made the poll so you can select multiple bulbs. That way you can vote for the bulb for growth and looks. I only put growth options on bulbs that are offten considered high par.

From what I have read the aquaconnect is the bulb that has the best looks/PAR combo. But it is so pricy that very few people run them (and thus I think very few votes for them).

AC 14k for looks

AB 10k (13k) for growth

Reeflux 12k (for looks and just might become my favorite after I learn more about PAR and long term results).

Look good but low PAR.

I use XM 10K's with 2 40 watt URI Superactinics. The 10K's without the supplemental lighting looks very white. You get a slight blue color with the actinics.

I hear the 14K pheonix bulbs are good as well.

Do 15K have lower PAR than 20K? because alot of people rant and rave about 20K
