2-65watt pc fixture vs. 150HQI MH fixture

Hi all,
I wanted to get some feedback on deciding whether to stick with my current usa orbit fixture 2-65 watt pc fixture or trying out the coralife 1-150watt HQI hang on back penant. Because there is only a 30watt increase will it make a huge difference? Could I be able to keep some sps by doing the HQI MH hang on back penant? or still not have enough light.
I just received the outer orbit fixture but will have to take it right back because of it not fitting right. I have my skimmer hanging on the back of my 30gal tall so the light fixture will not be able to work as I planned. I am having this problem because my tank measures 12"x24" and light measures 15"x24". I knew this when I ordered it form the LFS but just wanted to see if it was at all possible.
So looking a the rest of the fixtures with the same stlye as the outer orbit, they all measure 15"X24".

Since the coralife hang-on back fixture doesnt have actinic lights will there be a negative effect on my corals?
