Jawfish Questions, Agian.
Ok guys, the research I've done says that Jawfish are definatly an addition I'd like in the tank that I will be buying in about a month. Its going to be a a 120, meaning the demintions are going 4' by 2' by 2'.
What types of substrate do I need? How much? How many Jaw's Could I have? Could I mix Jawfish Species? Does the Jawfish make the DSB totaly useless? Sorry if i'm a little straight forward, i'm looking at these beautiful creatures and definatly wanting one.

What types of substrate do I need? You need a mix.... of everything.... rubble, small (1/4"), shells, more the merrier.
How much? min of 2" ( as he will stack his own if you dont have enough)... max of ....... he will dig... so there is no max How many Jaw's Could I have? In a 120 maybe 2-4... They will compete and steal from each others burrows.. its quite entertaining to watch them bury each other... Could I mix Jawfish Species? Yes... Does the Jawfish make the DSB totaly useless? I would think not... once they get a hole they like.. they dont move from there much...

Thanks for the prompt answers guys,
I'm thinking about a pearly and a bluespot, in this 2 by 4 territory do you think it will be enough? Do you think that roughly 4" would be enough? What mixture of shells, to aragonite, to crushed coral, to liverock rubble did y'all use?

I've got a 75 gallon and I put about 60 lbs of sand and 40 lbs of aragonite . As far as the rubble I'd say a good handfull per jawfish . Then I'd place a couple piles here and there .
Also if you don't have some kind of lid on the tank . I'd think about putting something to cover the tank . I put eggcrate and that could not save my Blackcap {rip} Good luck Rick also I'd research the blue spot . From what I understand they can be hard to keep alive .
