Maximum height for T5 above water?

Subject says it all.....

I was thinking of using t5 in comb. with mh and the halides will be 12" off water.

i run mine around 9" off the water. no problems...

horkn- Thanks.

I remember a while back it was recomended not to have them more than six inches off the water. On my last tank I had 4 that were about 4" off the water and I was constantly cleaning them. Hated it! Loved the lights!
