To Reef Central

Enductors have opening at the base the to allow the water being pumped to push even more water.

They move something 5 gallons for every gallon pumped.

They also give a more spread out flow.

but, both penductor and eductor require pressure rated pumps, so figure something like a iwaki 55 or mak 4 to run a pair of penductors or eductors, iwaki 100 will charge up for ductors nicely

oh yeah, just read your tank details, if you are planning on running any penductors with your tanks listed then you are gonna have sandstorms

I just installed an eductor on my 1" line off an Iwaki 100 in a 180. Holy crap...flow goes six feet to the other end. Looks like a surge zone now. Anemones love it!

wbcarl,

the 3600 isn't a pressure pump. although I'm sure it would do a job, just not "the" job.

I think it'll blow a scwd apart.

the back pressure created by the penductors ruin the scwd in no time.

also, i run 2 pendcutors on my mak4 pump in my 180 and if i had sand it would be all over unless i aimed the ductors flat or slightly up
