Flushing RO/DI

Just installed a new RO/DI unit witha flush kit add on. The manufacturer (KENT) recommends that you flush the membrane every 6 months or so or when pressure drops. Is there any reason not to flush it more frequently like monthly or even weekly? Thanks

If you have high TDS flushing at the end of each use has great benefit.

I have a Hi-S RO. Is too much flushing a bad thing?
