Unhappy how to fix my broken overflow

Hey guys
I bought a used lifereef overflow and during shipping the bottom of the external box broke....the bulkhead came right off...there's a big hole in the center now(I'll take a picture if you dont know what I mean)

anyways, im thinking of glueing a piece of hard plastic at the bottom and top of the overflow (by top I mean the top face of the bottom piece)....do you think that would be safe? if so what glue should I use or if you have any other ideas, let me know!

cheers
thomas

did it break off cleanly? try glueing it back on with acrylic glue and sealing it with silicone

best bet would be to patch it like you said (sandwiched) drill a new hole for the bulkhead through the new pieces and use acrylic and weldon that would make the strongest fix IMO. You'll need to make sure everything fits well before glueing though.
