carbon help

have 90 gal with 50 gal sump (no microlage)200 lbs live rock water parameters fine tank is loaded with soft corals how much carbon and how long should i leave it in per month

What kind are you using? My jug of ESV states how much should be used with and without a skimmer, but I don't recall exactly what it is. I think I use a 1/2 cup in my 29?

Id imagine the label should tell you though...

i use black diamond they say how much to use of course they want to sell more but many people say it removes to much good stuff out of your water some use it all the time some 2or 3 days monthly was hoping for some feedback on that

I run carbon 3 days out of the month at the most - water is always clear, no color. It says that right on the container too - i figure if the manufacturer tells you that (and they want you to use the most so they can sell more), then it's gotta be right.

I use BD also and run it 24/7 and change it out every thirty days at the rate of one cup per 100 gallons. I use two cups a month, alittle extra won't hurt.

24/7 for cabon. I use seachem and change every month to 6 weeks. Sometime i will let it rest a week in between changes.
