This looks like a turbo (shaped like a turban). Sundail have a flatter shell.

No way to ID it in that picture. Get a better picture of the foot when it is on the glass.

telling people not to help is a good way not to get any!! there isnt a person on the planet that can give a 100% positive ID with blurry pic. however,

your snail looks like a Margarita Snail (Margarites pupillus). but it could be a Turbo Snail Mexican (Turbo fluctuosa), or even an Astraea Snail. its impossible to get a 100% ID with that pic. know that you have some names google some images and make a ID from those.

OK I wont bother replying to any more of your questions if that is how you are going to be. kamil5000 took a guess at what it is and is probably wrong. Now if you want a correct ID then do what I said and wait for someone else to reply.

I'd rather say an educated guess based on size in relation to zoo's, colour and shape. What most important is that it is not a sundial, due toshape, size and colour.

It's the best i could do with the picture.

I would rather think that i'm probably right rather than probably wrong :-)

Sorry Beemo, but I'm with everyone else on this one.
If you don't want people's help, DON'T ASK.
Telling people not to bother responding is rude on YOUR part.
You started this, so be prepared for the consequenses.

Dubbin simply stated that to get a more accurate ID, a picture of the foot might help. Then you got all bent out of shape. That is on you, not him/her.

LOL think what you want but I am sure you still do not know what it is. Boy if this is how you treat people that try to help you then I sure would hate to see how you treat your enemies

kamil5000, you said you took a guess so that means that you really do not know what it is. There are many snails that have the same shell as that blurry picture. That is why I said to get a picture of the foot.

Dubbin 1 you are right, I really cannot be 100% sure (nor will i claim to be even if it was a clear macro shot - Dr.Ron on the invertabrate forum can be that confident). But I think what was needed in this post (other than an ID) was re-assurance that it is not a sundail. There i can be 99% sure.

Well if Dr Ron was still around here even he would have asked for a picture of the foot.
