adding cured LR to established tank
I bought some rock localy for $2 a lb. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to get home (traffic). Is this rock ok to add to my tank? I've read that "within the hour" is good but I took a little longer. It was transported in the same large tub I bought it in with the water as well.
70 lbs added 270 ish existing in established 200 gal tank. |

Just monitor your Ammonia and be ready for some small and frequent water changes if needed. You should be fine.

Got a QT tank? If so, use it to store the live rock and slowly add pieces in one at a time. Let the piece 'cause its mini-cycle and move on to the next piece.
That's the best way I can figure out how to add rock without risking a strong spike. |
