penductors and scwd
I am getting ready to upgrade to a 120g All Glass aquarium, so I'm trying to figure out a few things first- I plan on using blueline 70 pump as my only pump in the whole system- 1200gph going to my tank and the rest circulating through my chiller and returning into the sump- the question I'm having is can I use a scwd in line with my returns and then add penductors at the end?
will the scwd cut back too much pressure which the penductors need? anyone have any experience running these products in the same tank? Danny |

good question. i no the penductor chart starts at 7gpm or 420gph and multiply flow 5 times. the charts ive seen on the SCWD reduces flow in that range by 90%. now how it works in real life is what i want to no.
what flow and prersure is the blueline 70 rated at? alternating 3000 to 4000gph sounds to good to be ture. im ordering 4 penductors friday for 2 defferent tanks i hope they work.

dont try running the penductors on the scwd, the back pressure created ruins the scwd quick. i tried it and the scwd lasted about a month. also for the pump that you listed you will want all of the pump feeding 2 penductors, dont go branching it off to anything else. also the penductors miltiply by something like 3x when ran around 10 psi. i run a pair on a mak4 with 1" plumbing all the way to the 3/4" locline and the rock, how many X multiply does it do, no clue but it gets the water moving

thanks for the advice, I'll stick to the penductors with no scwds- no sense in spending the extra money.
