Anybody running XM 20,000K Without using actinic's
I'm setting up a 90 gallon tank full Reef, SPS, LPS, Leathers, Zoo's
Clam's, I have 650 watts of XM 20,000K, I spoke to Dr. Mac and they suggest also using actinic bulbs with the 20,000k. The XM's have a blue tint , do I really need to use actinic's. SPS Reefers, please give your opinions. Thanks, CaptiveReef

I have 1 over my 2 foot cube and love the color the bulb gives of, slows the groth down a little, but I'm into what I like to look at i9nstead of fast growth. I also use 2 t-5's. 1 atinic and 1 50/50 but those are only on for dawn and dusk period

I run a 90 gal w/ 250w XM 20k and no actinic. I love how it looks (not to blue) and I get decent growth from my SPS. Can always add actinic later if you wish, but I think you will be happy just the 20k.

20,000k lighting
Thanks everybody,
I'm going to use the actinics for Dawn and Dusk and the XM's for the main lighting during the day. CaptiveReef
