honey comb orange sponge

I added this little golf ball size sponge about a month ago. I am just curious if anyone knows anything about them. I have it in high light in the middle of the tank and I am wondering if its to much. The edges seem to have a little algea growing on them, and I have not seen any noticable new growth on the sponge either. I have a lot of the white sponges all over my live rock, they grow like mad.

Tank is
125 with55 sump
3 250 watt mh 20ks
2 96 watt pc 10ks
2 96 watt pc blues
salt is 1.029
ph 8.0
calcium 550
alk 2.5 meq litre
trates 0
amonia 0
trites 0
temp 78-81 night to day
