How many stages?
I'm trying to find some more information on RO Units but I hate that I can't use the search engine on this site. It makes it hard to navigate. anyways, I was wanting to invest more into my skimmer and pumps and get by with less on my RO unit. almost all of the newbie articles say that the DI isn't that important. Can anyone recommend a inexpensive one that will do the job on a 55 gallon.
also, if you could direct me to any additional articles on RO Units, taht would be great. Thanks, Justin |

I think the DI is important.
One of the ions that will pass through a RO membrane is phosphate. www.airwaterice.com typhoon III is the ticket. Here's your article. http://reefcentral.com/modules.php?s...showpage&pid=2 |

Thanks for the article. That is the one I was talking about. Per that article, it is not a must to have since I can add it down the road. Since I'm looking at higher end other items, any other recommendations of less expensive ones? What about the Kent Bare Bones

I wouldn't skimp on the RO unit. It could come back to haunt you down the road. A awesome light setup, and mega pumps will grow some really nice nuisance algae when the water is questionable.
