How to drain the Typhoon III
I just got the Typhoon III--it is so sweet. Anyway, I use it via a temporary sink attachment, and I was wondering how to drain the water once I detach the unit from the sink. As of now I am just leaving the water in the chambers, but I think I might be missing something. Also, the user guide says that for every degree under 77F, the quality of the product is compromised more and more . . . is the same true for water WARMER than 77F (I get higher water pressure when I use both the hot and cold faucets, but as a result my water is wamer)?

You do not want to drain the water form the unit. The membrane needs to stay wet otherwise it will go bad very quickly. I think they explain this in the directions. When you need more water use the quick flush feature, if it is just a few days then all you have to do is waste the first few gallons of RP/DI water.
Regards, Pat

You would have to put a bucket underneath the filter housings and screw them off one at a time.
When feeding the unit tap water, it may be best to use the cold water only. Hot water heaters tend to add unwanted metals to the water. Yes, the RO/DI unit will remove them but the filters get used up faster (this is of course in theory.) As long as your feed water is over 50psi, your unit should work OK. Since it is winter (well, it's winter where I'm at) the cold water does indeed slow the pace at which pure water is produced. It takes me several hours to make a batch of makeup water as it is, so I could really care less about it slowing down. I just wanted to point this out to you.
